I hope this Flight Training website will answer most of your questions. However, there is no substitute for "one on one" counseling. You may or may not already have a clear objective in mind, but in any case, we will try to help you establish a realistic goal.
To have a clear goal will be your first important step in a successful aviation career as a private pilot or commercial pilot. So do not hesitate to contact us for any questions or an evaluation.

At Verticare, we have a unique philosophy that stresses individual attention and training, given by instructors with real world experience.

We do not hire graduates to immediately become instructors. We never leave the ground without a clear objective for the particular flight. Briefings before each flight establish the information needed so that the flying is mainly a drill, to put into practice what has been explained on the ground.

We do not waste your flight time telling you things that should have been explained on the ground.

Training Area
Salinas Airport is an excellent location to learn to fly helicopters or airplanes. Salinas Airport has a control tower, a heliport, and a designated training area specifically for helicopters. We can get more done in the course of an hour than most other schools can in 1.5 hours due to our proximity to training areas. It's that simple. Why waste time flying straight and level when you could be working on emergency procedures within your first minute of take-off.

The central coast offers almost every type of training environment you could imagine within this relatively small area. So be ready to train in conditions and environments that will give you the confidence of knowing how to handle any situation.

Introductory flights

Designed for the potential student, our introductory flights allow, people wanting to take a more serious look at flying, a chance to "get there feet wet".

Introductory flights for Airplanes are $59.00 and includes approximately 20 min. of flight time.

Introductory Helicopter flights are $199.00 and include one hour of ground instruction and up to one hour of flight training with an instructor.
